ABOUT DEBORAH BOWN

I have been a teacher for over 18 years, teaching in the classroom settings of Special Day Class (SDC) and as a general education teacher for intelligent children who learn differently.

I have known since a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. Even as a child, I enjoyed playing school and have always had a passion for learning.

Some of my hobbies and interests include reading, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. I also enjoy playing games and spending time with my husband, daughter, son and family. I am a volunteer Sunday School teacher at my church in San Juan Capistrano and have gone on a mission trip to Russia, teaching English to Russian school children.

My husband and I enjoy traveling and have a goal to see all 50 states.
